Like many events, the coronavirus outbreak resulted in Naidex 2020 being rescheduled to September 15th and 16th 2021. But until then, we will be sharing a new blog post every week with information on the AYL Treasure Hunt!
This exclusive activity involves working with 17 trusted exhibitors to provide attendees with the opportunity to discover and visit stands they otherwise might not have known about. You will have to wait until nearer the time to learn how you can take part, but for now, I am proud to introduce the seventh exhibitor - Integrex!
Integrex design, manufacture and install IT equipment that is innovative, immersive and interactive. Providing tailored sensory solutions for individual clients, educational services and retailers across the UK for over 40 years. They have three main products designed specifically for people with additional needs called the VisiLift, Visilift+ and SENse; along with fully immersive rooms, allowing users to interact with images through movement.
VisiLift and VisiLift+ are height adjustable, interactive, multi-touch screens that come with built-in software, games, themes and images. The multi-touch displays allow several people to interact with the screens at once using a wide range of movements, rather than requiring accurate isolated input from a single touch - making it an inclusive interactive activity for people of all abilities! In addition to these features, the VisiLift+ includes:
1 - a smooth, soft-touch surround with an anti-bacterial surface, making it ideal for special needs environments where hygiene is paramount;
2 - braked castors allowing it to be wheeled effortlessly;
3 - the ability to tilt from vertical to horizontal, meaning it can be used vertically or tilted for users who are in a prone position or a reclined wheelchair.
SENse products are another range of designed by Itegrex specifically for users with additional needs. This low-cost sensory system offers floor to ceiling projection, an interactive floor that detects and responds to body movement, as well as variable lighting that augments interactive imagery. Users of any age can interact using minimal movements from a seated, standing or lying position; or users with more mobility can catch/move objects around the floor whilst playing with a range of stimulating games! Alternatively, the SENse Micro can be projected onto almost any surface, including wheelchair trays. Offering a portable option that can be used in a classroom or at home, creating an instant ‘plug and play’ with zero setup.
Integrex takes pride in providing a wide range of products that allow those with sensory or cognitive disabilities to interact, control and learn through a wide variety of interactive programmes operated through touch and movement. Integrex Sensory Specialists also design immersive rooms that are custom built and can include projected or interactive surfaces, colourful soft padded walls and floors, and Aromatherapy units.
At AYL we are committed to sharing unbiased information on the best products and services for people with disabilities, so it is an honour to be partnering with Integrex for the 2021 Naidex Treasure Hunt!
