Clear Light Up – Neo Walk Stick

(Based on the users needs, lifestyle and preferences.)

Item Description:
Clear, glittery walking stick (Starry Skye) with a curved handle (question mark shaped), light-up feature, and rubber foot (trinket clear). You can even add a gel-cushioned rubber grip to your stick, which is available in 5 different colours. The length of my stick is 35 (I was measured by them in person and I am 5,6.5’), but they are available in shorter lengths for children. There is a wide variety of colours, styles, and handles such as T-shaped handles, curves, snoopy handles, and question mark handles.

Source of Item:

Personal Opinion:

Reason For Using Product:
Firstly the company is run by the most lovely disabled lady called Lynsey, the whole team are so nice, which always makes the buying experience from a company even better. As an ambulatory wheelchair user I don’t often need to use a stick, however, my balance is very bad- I live in Brighton where the beach is not accessible at all and have often longed to be able to swim in the sea- with my stick I find I can get down on to the pebbles on my good days. I use this product as I have really bad balance, hypermobility and chronic pain, partial paralysis I find it really helps with stability, particularly when going from sitting on the floor to standing but also when I experience partial paralysis.

Packaging & Installation:
It arrived in a long cardboard box and is tied in beautifully it really does feel like a magical experience of opening a present, I honestly could not wait to open it, to assemble the stick you simply push the foot onto the pre-cut stick and it is ready to use. My stick is light up and therefore I was provided with a green velvet branded neo walks bag with an Alan key and carribena clip to activate the light at the base of the stick.

Using The Product:
I like that I can use this item in the way of swapping sides – spinning it to use it both ways, and it also acts as a way to make my hidden disability visible when I am not using my wheelchair, it is beautiful and really makes me feel more confident on my feet- similarly, it encourages me to carry less heavy items as my hands are ‘full’ when holding my sticks.

I have dropped the stick a few times from some height and it has not scratched or dented and it is of amazing quality, I really can’t wait to get my next style and colour to try!

Conclusion & Recommendation:
I would recommend this stick for anyone struggling to accept their disability, wanting something stylish, that shows their personality to use around the house and make them smile or to take out with them when places aren’t accessible for wheels. I think this is a great stick for ambulatory users.
