Titanium fixed frame with quickie release wheels.
Source of Wheelchair: Albion Mobility
Diagnosis: Osteogenesis Imperfecta
Due to frequent fractures and severe rotator cuff damage, I was struggling to use my NHS chair and couldn’t get anything more suitable from them. Thankfully, I was able to get my Tilite with a SmartDrive power assist attachment through a condition specific charity. With everything made to measure from high quality materials, the chair is maneuverable and comfortable with a Jay Cushion.
I opted for flip down push handles and Surge rims which are oval giving a more comfortable and efficient grip. With the power assist, I’ve regained the ability to get out and about and go further afield.
In the 2 years, I’ve had the Tilite, I’ve added a bottle carrier (from a cycle shop), cycle lights and a Quokka Bag so my phone, etc is always within arms reach. While there are lots of different wheelchairs out there, most of which I tried before deciding on the Tilite, the Tilite works best for me.
