All-terrain black wheelchair with 2 large front wheels, a monocoque tilt in space seat, rear shock absorber and 24" mountain bike wheels. Retractable armrests, extra-long push handles and attendant brakes. Along with a spare rear wheel, inner tube and pump.
We purchased this wheelchair in September 2019, to enable us to take my elderly mother on family outings. I am grateful to a local mobility shop, who put us in contact with Trekinetic, as my internet searches for an all-terrain wheelchair only indicated self-propelled chairs for young full-time wheelchair users.
It was the star of the show on a cruise later that year and everyone admired it. It folded easily to put in the coach for day excursions and she remained in it for trips on public transport using a lift. We also used it a lot during lockdown to avoid busy pavements and it coped well with gravel, rough stony paths and grass.
My mother thought it was much more comfortable than a standard push along wheelchair, but sadly she recently passed away so my only regret was that we didn’t find it sooner.
